Who we are

The Next Conversation is an AI policy and research website under development at app.lenavix.com. This policy explains how the app handles personal information.

The operator responsible for your information is Lenavix, a company registered in Canada.

Privacy contact: michael@lenavix.com.

Information we use

  • Your account. Firebase Authentication handles Google and email/password sign-in. Account information includes your email address, account identifier, sign-in provider and verification status. Google sign-in can also provide your name and profile picture. We use this information to sign you in, identify your saved items and support account access. The app does not request access to your Gmail messages, contacts or Drive files. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are not stored in the app’s bookmark database.
  • Saved reading and companies. When you are signed in, Firestore stores the identifiers of items you save, their save times and, for reading, the audience category. This lets your saves sync across devices. They are not published to other site users. Guest saves stay in your browser and are copied to your account only when you choose Import browser saves.
  • Browser preferences. Local storage remembers guest saves, your display preference and your analytics choice. Session storage supports sign-in and the subscription preview. Clearing site storage can remove browser-only saves and preferences; it does not delete your cloud account or synced bookmarks.
  • Optional usage analytics. Google Analytics is off until you allow it in Settings. When enabled, it measures page use and processes technical browser/device information and analytics identifiers, including cookies. Our page-view code sends the page title and page address without query parameters or fragments; it does not attach your email address or account identifier. Google signals and ad personalization are disabled in the app’s analytics configuration.
  • Account emails and security. Firebase and Resend process your email address and message content, including verification or password-reset links, to deliver account emails. Delivery information may include failures and bounces. To limit verification-email abuse, we store hashed account and recipient identifiers, request times and expiry times. These hashes are security records, not anonymous data.
  • Technical requests. Hosting and other service providers process connection information, such as IP addresses, browser details and request times, to deliver and protect the service. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives browser requests even when optional analytics is off.
  • Public professional information. Our directory and selected profiles include names, roles, organizations and professional links or published contact details drawn from company websites and other public sources. We use them to describe organizations and people working in the field. Contact us to request a correction or removal.

Paid plans are currently previews. The app does not take payments or collect payment-card details.

Service providers and external sites

Google Firebase and Google Cloud provide authentication, database storage and hosting. Google Analytics receives usage information only when you enable it. Resend delivers account emails. These services process information needed for those functions. See Firebase’s privacy information, Google’s Privacy Policy and Resend’s Privacy Policy.

Links to publications, Substack, LinkedIn and other external sites take you to services with their own privacy policies. Following a link is separate from saving it in this app.

Storage and retention

We keep account information and synced bookmarks while your account remains open, unless you remove saved items or request account deletion. Signing out does not delete your account. You can request account deletion by emailing our privacy contact.

You can remove a saved reading item or company bookmark in the app. A successful account save-removal deletes that active Firestore record. Guest saves remain in browser storage until removed, cleared or successfully imported into your account. Display and analytics preferences remain until changed or cleared. Sign-in and subscription-preview storage are session-based.

Verification-email abuse records receive an expiry time 48 hours after the latest recorded request. Firestore’s background deletion can occur after that expiry; it is not immediate. This expiry does not apply to account records or email-provider delivery logs. See Firestore’s TTL documentation.

Analytics, service and email-delivery records are retained according to the relevant provider settings and operational, security or legal requirements. We keep privacy-request correspondence as needed to resolve requests and document how they were handled.

Your choices and requests

You can use public pages without an account, remove bookmarks, sign out and change analytics in Settings → Privacy. Turning analytics off stops further analytics collection by the app and clears accessible analytics cookies; it does not by itself erase information already collected.

Email michael@lenavix.com to request access, correction or deletion of your information, or to raise a concern. We handle requests manually and may need to verify your identity. An account-deletion request covers both your Firebase sign-in account and its saved reading and company bookmarks. If we need to retain particular records, we will explain what we retain and why. The app does not currently have a self-service account-deletion button.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may also have rights to a copy of your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to a privacy regulator.

International processing

Our providers may process information outside Canada and outside your country of residence. The app’s hosting and its Firestore bookmark database are in the United States. Other provider services may use different locations.

Changes

When this policy changes, we will update its date and explain material changes as required by applicable law.
